The water treatment industry's standard for LPR (Linear Polarization
Resistance) internal corrosion rate monitoring. The RCS patented SRC (Solution
Resistance Compensation) technology provides the highest measurement accuracy
with 2-electrode probes over a range of conductivities from salt water to
condensates. handheld, data logging and continuous on-line instruments with
CORRATER Probes rate to 6,000 psi (41 Mpa) and 300° F (150° C) are available to
meet the most demanding applications.

Typical Applications
This technology only applies to conductive liquids (water) and is usually used
to monitor corrosion rates in cooling water systems of all kinds. It provides
the feedback for the chemical treatments being employed. Cooling towers, closed
loop cooling systems, produced water.
The IIU is normally supplied as part of a complete corrosion management system fully factory tested and configured for your application.
9000 Plus Portable CORRATER®
Instrument
The 9000 Plus portable CORRATER ® instrument is your answer to quick and easy
corrosion rate measurements in water systems, automatically.
AquaMate®
Portable CORRATER® Instrument
The AquaMate® is your best solution to the problem of getting quick and easy
corrosion rate measurements in water systems. It is a hand-held instrument used
to take readings of CORRATER® and CORROTEMP® probes. Its patented Solution
Resistance Compensation extends the low conductivity operating range from
cooling water to condensate, feedwater, and drinking water systems.
SCA-1/SCA-1L Single Channel CORRATER®
Instrument
The SCA-1 is a single range field mountable CORRATER® instrument for continuous
corrosion monitoring of water systems. The instrument is particularly suited to
on-line monitoring applications where chemical treatment is being employed and
where compliance with regulatory standards is highly important.
9030 Plus®
CORRATER® Instrument
The 9030 Plus® Instrument is a corrosion rate system designed for cooling
water, process water, and feed water systems. It is available with one or two
channels of corrosion rate imbalance and temperature data for rapid response to
process upset conditions. Two-channel operation allows for the monitoring of
two alloys at a time, for example, mild steel and copper-based alloy (found in
many plant systems).
9020 CORRATER® Transmitter
The Model 9020 CORRATER® Transmitter is ideal for accurately monitoring
corrosion rates in water systems ranging from high-conductivity cooling water
and seawater to low-conductivity condensates.
E9020 CORRATER®
Transmitter
The E-9020 digital transmitter is designed for on-line corrosion monitoring of
water systems in electrically hazardous areas, and is compatible with the same
communication bus as the Microcor technology. This makes it ideal for
refineries, chemical plants and process plants where corrosion must be monitored
in a mixture of aqueous and non-aqueous systems.
CORRDATA®
Remote Data Collection System
Remote Data Collectors (RDC's) are used at every probe location where maximum
visibility and sensitivity to corrosion rate changes are required. Data can be
collected with our CORRDATA® Mate or Mate II and transferred to a PC, where our
CORRDATA® Software provides graphical displays of corrosion data for immediate
identification of corrosion upsets.
CORRDATA® Software
CORRDATA® Software provides graphical displays of corrosion data for immediate identification of corrosion upsets. With CORRDATA® Plus Software for Windows® XP Pro/Vista Business/Vista Ultimate, multiple probes and additional corrosion-related parameters, such as temperature information from CORROTEMP® probes, can be simultaneously reviewed.
CORRDATA®
Remote Communication and Power Options
A wide range of options are available to further extend the flexibility of the
CORRDATA® system, and provide for even more automated data collection.
9134X / 9134W
4-Channel CORRATER® Probe Interface Module
The 9134X or 9134W CORRATER® Probe Interface Module (PIM) is the front end
interface for use with CORRATER® probes in dedicated continuous on-line ICMS3®
Corrosion Monitoring Systems. This cost-effective unit interfaces 1-4 CORRATER®
probes of any type to the central Corrosion Monitoring Computer.
CorrDATS® Corrosion & Deposit
Monitoring System
The main parameters required for control of a water treatment program have been
combined into this integrated data logging system which may be interrogated
with a portable or desktop PC.
CORRATER® Probe Selection Guide
The guide shows a matrix of CORRATER® probe options with the most commonly used
items highlighted.
CORROTEMP®
Dual Sensor CORRATER® Probes
The patented CORROTEMP® measurement probe series allows corrosion rate and
temperature information to be collected at the corrosion monitoring location.
850 Corrater® LPR Soil Corrosion Rate Monitor The Corrater® Soil Corrosion Rate Monitor allows a quantitative measurement of soil corrosivity to be made quickly and easily at the time of the pipe excavation and inspection. Multiple readings can be taken, at different locations around the pipe to check on the consistency of the soil corrosivity.
900 Concrete
Multi-Depth Sensor
The Model 900 Concrete Multi-Depth Sensor measures the ingress of chlorides and
other contaminants in concrete prior to reaching rebar.
6112 CORRATER® Probe
The 6112 probe is ideally suited for laboratory testing or light duty plant
operations in a bypass rack where removal under system pressure is not
required.
7012/7022 CORRATER®
Probe
The Model 7012/7022 probes provide a more rugged construction and are ideal for
plant use in a bypass rack where removal under pressure is not required.
7212/7222 CORRATER® Probe
This probe employs two identical electrodes which are mounted at the end of the
probe by threaded, insulated studs. The glass reinforced epoxy electrode header
used on the Model 7212 provides insulation and is preferred at high pH ranges
over the glass sealed Model 7222.
8012/8022 CORRATER®
Probe
The Model 8012/8022 probes are ideal for direct mounting into plant pipework or
vessels and allow insertion or removal while under system pressure. The
electrode seals are suitable for all pH ranges.
CORRATER® Coupons and Electrodes
RCS corrosion coupons are manufactured from certified materials in a wide range
of metals and alloys. The surfaces of the coupons are free from scratches, tool
marks, pits and other imperfections that would create
measurement errors.
